Why we build on EGGER
Every Titan piece with a melamine-faced surface — desks, storage, panels — traces back to one supplier. Here's what that partnership actually buys us, and the customers we build for.
RELIABILITY AT SCALE
A supplier too big to be the bottleneck
EGGER started as a single family sawmill in St. Johann in Tirol and grew, plant by plant, into the global leader in melamine-faced chipboard — still family-owned, still run with the same name on the door.
That scale is exactly why we work with them. Twenty-two plants across eleven countries means Titan gets a consistent decor range, dependable lead times, and a supply chain large enough that a shortage at one site doesn't stall a project. Ninety-three percent of their wood comes straight from source rather than through dealer chains, which is part of why the numbers hold up order after order.
It also means EGGER publishes exactly how it's doing against its own targets every financial year, across five strategic priorities: forestry, circular economy, climate, good jobs, and industrial responsibility. That transparency is what lets us stand behind the material story we give customers, not just the finish — the sections below are where those numbers come from, as of financial year 2025/26.
A SOURCING STORY WE CAN STAND BEHIND
Where the wood actually comes from
When a customer asks where the timber in their desk comes from, this is the answer — and it's one we can back up with numbers, not just a claim on a spec sheet.
Wood purchased directly from source
Direct relationships, not dealer chains — 93%
Wood purchased regionally
76% — already past the 2030 target of 75%
Fresh wood from FSC®/PEFC-certified forests
47% — target >60%
MATERIAL CUSTOMERS FEEL GOOD SPECIFYING
Panels built to get a second life
For clients weighing us against a cheaper, less accountable alternative, this is the tiebreaker: renewable inputs going in, recyclable products coming out, and a growing share of the material in between has already had a first life.
88% Renewable raw materials across all EGGER products | 91% Of the EGGER product portfolio is recyclable |
84% Of sales from products carrying an eco-label | 39% Recycled wood in particleboard (2030 target: 50%) |
A PARTNER MOVING THE SAME DIRECTION WE ARE
On a mapped-out road to net zero
Our own sustainability commitments only mean something if the supply chain behind them is credible. EGGER has committed to Net Zero by 2050, in line with the Paris Agreement, with interim targets already set for 2030 — so the footprint behind Titan's panels keeps shrinking on a published schedule, not a vague promise.
Scope 1 · 10% | Scope 2 · 10% | Scope 3 · 80% |
■ Scope 1 — direct emissions from EGGER's own plants (target: –30% by 2030)
■ Scope 2 — emissions from purchased energy (target: –40% by 2030)
■ Scope 3 — upstream & downstream supply chain (target: –10% by 2030)
14.3M t of CO₂ are currently stored in the products EGGER manufactured this financial year alone — wood panels hold onto carbon for as long as the furniture built from them stays in use. |
What it adds up to
Scale we don't have to worry about, sourcing we can defend to a customer who asks, and a sustainability record that's audited rather than asserted. When a client wants to know why Titan's panels cost what they cost, this page is the answer — not a finish, but everything that had to be true before the finish was even applied.
All figures on this page are drawn from EGGER Group's published sustainability strategy and key figures for the 2025/26 financial year, group-wide as of 30 April 2026.
